The District 12 'Bobcat Choir' spread some holiday cheer Wednesday morning. They sang Christmas Carols for the residents of The Villas at St. James Place and the residents of the Cedarhurst Facility in Breese.
Student council members Corbin Wintermann, Allyson Sellers, and Cooper Klay pose with a load of gifts to be donated. This was only the first load but we are so happy to provide gifts through Coping 4 Kids for members of our community!

Over the weekend, our cheerleaders qualified for the ICCA state championship. They placed fifth in the small junior high division and scored above a 75.00 during the ICCA Qualifier in Pinckneyville to qualify for ICCA state! ICCA state is Jan. 6-7 at the BOS Center in Springfield. #ItsAGreatDayToBeABobcat

Last week Mrs. Schrand conducted her 150th and 151st Christmas Concerts at D12. She will be greatly missed! π As always, both shows were excellent! π

Shout out to our 6th grade scientists working hard on their scientific method lab using drops of water on a penny. They did great filling out their lab reports with their hypothesis and doing calculations.

As part of a drawing competition for the Centralia Sentinel, Maggie Diekemper chose to draw Cedarhurst for her entry. Cedarhurst saw the entry and loved it so much they plan to purchase the drawing from the Sentinel and Amy Therrian of Cedarhurst made a Ski delivery to Maggie's class to thank her! Great job, Maggie, and thank you Amy & Cedarhurst for the drinks! #itsagreatdaytobeabobcat

The District 12 Marching Bobcats entertained the streets of Breese during the annual Breese Lights Parade on Saturday evening. It was a beautiful night filled with lights, music and fun. This was Mrs Schrand's last parade as she is retiring at the end of this school year! πΆ
