A huge thank you to the Clinton County Farm Bureau Foundation for sponsoring Mrs. Sander's project grant! The 6th graders were able to visit Rolling Lawns Farm and The Milk House. We got an inside look at the life of dairy cows and a better understanding of the work that they and the farmers do to provide us with quality dairy products. The tours ended with delicious ice cream and many samples of their flavored milk including rootbeer, chocolate, strawberry, orange, and cappuccino. Student favorites include the cookie monster ice cream and petting lucky the calf.

Adelaide and Jax were treated to Dairy King today! During IAR testing a student was picked from each test for giving 100%. These students all received a candy bar, and their name went into a drawing. Ten lucky winners received a Ski at lunch, and these two got lunch with Mrs. Schilling! Way-to-go, Bobcats! Thank you for working hard! 😎

Mr. Kalmer was recognized as Coach of the Year by the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association at Illinois State University. He lead St. Clare 8th graders, including his daughter, to 24-1 season and 3rd place finish at state, after coaching these girls the past four years. Mr. Kalmer did coach basketball at D 12 before his three girls started playing basketball.
