Mrs. Stine's Kindergarteners had so much fun walking to the Firehouse and learning all about fire safety! Thank you Beckemeyer Fire Department! 🚒
Ruby was our first "Kindness Award" recipient at the Beckemeyer campus! She was nominated by Ms. Megan who stated, "Ruby helped push the button on the water fountain for a friend who couldn't." Ruby was rewarded with a Dairy King gift certificate and her picture is posted on our "Kindness Wall." Thanks for always being a good friend, Ruby! #ItsAGreatDayToBeABobcat
Kindergarten walked to the Beckemeyer Fire Department to see the equipment, trucks and learn about fire safety on Friday! A few weeks ago we learned a lot about Fire Safety during our week long theme at school. We practiced "stop, drop, & roll," had a fire safety scavenger hunt, & made Firetrucks treats! 🚒
Grades 3 & 4 enjoyed their visit from the Breese Fire Department on Friday!

Our Bobcats had a strong finish to their XC season yesterday at the state meet in DuQuoin.
Cam Wheeler finished 9th and Aspen Hollenkamp finished 10th in the girls class L race. 🎉
All of our athletes showed up in the not so desirable weather, and gave it their all!

On Fridays we wear purple! The first few kids to arrive this morning were all "purpled" out! 💜 It's a great day to be a Bobcat!

Grandparents Day 2023
Our District 12 library will be hosting a book sale during Parent-Teacher conferences October 23 and 26, 2023. We are clearing out some of our older books to create room for the new. We have classics, vintage and multiple copies for book clubs. For those who have a crafty side, you can purchase books to create original book page crafts and wall art! (see photos for ideas) Prices range from $.25-$1.00. We will have a table set up at both schools and a money jar for payments and donations. I hope you can help us free up some space and have a good read at the same time!
