Monday, October 23 is the beginning of Red Ribbon Week!
These students were recognized by a teacher for being kind this week! They received a small treat, and got to put their name on the kindness board to be entered into a raffle at a later date. Thank you for making Breese Elementary a better place!
What better way to start the weekend than with a Kindness Award?! Cash was nominated by Ms. Kelly who stated "a friend's milk had spilled during lunch, and Cash grabbed paper towels and helped clean it up!" Michael Hogg, Londyn Winkeler, and Mackenzie Duncan read their essays in front of their peers and families to conclude the DARE program.

Kindergarten walked to the Beckemeyer Fire Department to see the equipment, trucks and learn about fire safety on Friday! A few weeks ago we learned a lot about Fire Safety during our week long theme at school. We practiced "stop, drop, & roll," had a fire safety scavenger hunt, & made Firetrucks treats! 🚒
Grades 3 & 4 enjoyed their visit from the Breese Fire Department on Friday!

Our Bobcats had a strong finish to their XC season yesterday at the state meet in DuQuoin.
Cam Wheeler finished 9th and Aspen Hollenkamp finished 10th in the girls class L race. 🎉
All of our athletes showed up in the not so desirable weather, and gave it their all!
